The Work Action Centre (WAC), a division of Start Me Up Niagara (SMUN), assists individuals who self-identify as living with a disability, with employment or self-employment, or for starting their own small business, full or part-time.
We offer one-on-one and small group programs, training, resources, and advice designed to remove barriers to competitive employment. Our Services are tailored to individual needs, by helping persons to explore and discover their abilities and talents.
From initial surveys and assessment, soft-skills training, market research, resume and skills development, action-planning, informational interviews and speaking skills, to assistive volunteer or paid work experiences, our clients open themselves to better opportunities.
We also offer coaching in self-employment, training and one-on-one support on developing business ideas and taking them to the next step. With two self-employment experts we provide information, resources and the tools needed to start and grow your business.
The Work Action Centre is one of the many services offered by Start Me Up Niagara. If you are living in the Niagara Region and interested in learning more about us or joining our programs, please call: 289-438-3939, or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
