Special Olympics Ontario is a volunteer driven organization with some 18,000 athletes and 8,000 volunteers. Athletes range in age from 8 to 80 and have the opportunity to train in 18 core sports.
Special Olympics Welland Pelham has over 270 registered athletes and 60+ volunteers. We offer 10 sports:
- Athletics (Track and Field)
- Bocce Ball
- 5-Pin Bowling
- 10-Pin Bowling
- Floor Hockey
- Rhythmic Gymnastics
Our community is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities. We are always happy to have new athletes join us and participate in our sports in whatever capacity. Many of our sports offer beginner team level entry opportunities, and all of our sports encourage active participation and physical fitness.
